Occupied by the Infantry emplacements for the Stokes guns should be built at the ends of short saps leading out of the communication trenches.

Casualties  -  3  O.R wounded.

LOOS   28/8/16
The battalion was relieved by the 19th R.W.F and took over billets vacated by the 18th Bn. Welsh Regt and support battalion in LOOS right subsection.

  Disposition as follows  -  A & B Coys in Enclosure and DUNCE' s ALLEY.

'C' COY less 1 platoon in DUKE STREET, one platoon of 'C' Coy in 'Keep' (G. 2 7.d).  'D' Coy & Headquarters in VILLAGE LINE from PRIVETE passage inclusive to LENS REDOUBT inclusive.

Condition of DUKE STREET bad, accommodation at Headquarters insufficient.

late of  21st Bn. Welsh Regt reported for duty and is posted to 'D' Coy
  Casualties  -  1 O.R wounded.

29/8/16 
Very heavy rain storm.  DUKE  STREET flooded and many falls both in this trench and in the VILLAGE LINES. 

  2 Lt H. C. Williams,
late of 21st Bn. Welsh Regt, reported for duty & is posted to 'D' Coy.

   Casualties  -  1 O.R killed.

30/8/16
Heavy rain at intervals throughout day.  Condition of trenches worse than ever.  Men kept hard at work draining and rebuilding sides of trenches.  Many new trench boards laid in bad places

31/8/16
Repair and drainage of DUKE STREET and VILLAGE LINE continued, much good work done.
