MAUREPAS
RAVINE Casualties. Nil
During night our Artillery fired steadily on enemys lines in ST PIERRE VAAST WOOD and continuous communication was maintained between the posts in front line and the Battalions on our right and left Casualties:- Nil
Support lines were shelled by hostile Artillery from 11.30 p.m. to midnight. Own Artillery also active. Casualties :- Wounded O.R 2.
On completion of relief Battalion marched via COMBLES to MAUREPAS CROSS ROADS. Lorries conveyed personnel thence to Camp 124 (West) which is between SAILLY LORRETTE and SAILLY LE SEC. On arrival in Camp men were given hot soup, hot tea and rum.
Battalion in Camp 124 (West). Time devoted to cleaning up, re-organisation generally and squad drill. Major B. F. MURPHY (attached) evacuated sick to Hospital 30.1.17. |
