2/Lt H.T.DALE complimented by the GOC. 40th DIVISION upon his PATROL rep made on the night 16 - 17/12/1917.

Bn in Brigade Support at RAILWAY RESERVE men employed during the day in improving TUNNEL TRENCH and the C.T.'s going up to the FRONT LINE also in cleaning up their equipment and having their boots and clothing mended if required.

Bn in Brigade Support at RAILWAY RESERVE. Men employed during the day in improving the condition of TUNNEL TRENCH (FRONT LINE) and the C.T.'s going up to same when not so employued they had their boots & clothing attended to.

do   5th
Bn in Brigade Support at RAILWAY RESERVE. Working Parties were furnished and employed in Front Line Trenches. In the afternoon the men generally cleaned up their Quarters & Equipment. During the late afternoon the Bn moved up.
