CROISILLES (SECTOR)

into the Front Line relieving the 18th Bn The WELSH Regt. Our B & D Coys manned the Front Line Posts. Patrol work was carried out during the hours of darkness


do   JAN 6th

Bn in the FRONT LINE TRENCHES. Artillery on both sides active. During the night Patrol work was carried out along the Bn Front well in Front of our wire but no hostile movement was observed


do   7th
Bn holding the Front Line Trenches. As the Brigade on our right was carrying out a semi daylight raid Our Artillery opened out to give the Infantry support. This naturally drew the enemy fire so that for a period both Our Own & Hostile artillery were active. Inter-Company relief A and C Companies relieving B & D Coys respectively.

Lieut G. J. Greer appointed O.C. of "C" Company during the absence of Capt. Grant who on leave.
