MORY   JAN 12th

   Bn in Brigade Reserve at MORY (NORTH CAMP). The Companies were marched off under Company Officers and to times given out in B.R.O. to Baths at St LEGER. The rest of the day was spent with Companies at the disposal of the Coy Commanders who gave the men Platoon, Section and Arms drill.


do   13th

Bn at MORY (NORTH CAMP) as Bn in Brigade Reserve. The day was devoted to Church Parades in the morning in the afternoon the time was devoted to generally cleaning up of Equipment and Quarters. At 4 p.m. the Bn moved forward to relieve the 18th Bn The WELSH REGt who were holding the LINE. The relief was completed without any mishap. The Trenches were found to be in a fairly good state only owing to the thaw having set in the sides of the trenches had started to cave in in places. Patrol work was carried out during the hours of darkness. B & D Coys were holding the FRONT LINE TRENCH.


CROISILLES   14th

Bn in the Front Line Trenches. Our Own Artillery was quiet Hostile Artillery was fairly active shelling our C.T.'s. No further thaw having set in Patrol work was possibel Trenches in a fairly good condition.
