Bn holding the Front Line System of Posts Ref Map CHERISY (Special Map) U.14.a.70.10 to U.20.b.70.80. Hostile and Our Own Artillery fairly active. Fair amount of Sniping on both sides owing to the fact that the Trenches were not clear in many pllaces so the overland track had to be used. Patrol work was impossible so protection was carried out by a system of Listening Posts outside our wire.
