Battalion in Front Line. Both Coy. fronts patrolled at night. A search
party was sent from the left Coy. front to endeavour to find the missing
men of precious night's patrol, but without success.

Battalion in Front Line. NO MAN'S LAND patrolled at night and hostile
wire examined.

Battalion in Front Line. During night 24/25 the enemy heavily bombarded
our Right Coy front - about 1 am - with rifle grenades & aerial darts
for about 5 minutes - followed by 3 minutes intense bombardment with gas
shells. H.E. & rifles grenades & aerial darts. Casualties 2 Officers
- LIEUT D.K. WALTERS and 2/Lt R.S.R.DAVID and 11 O.R. were slightly gassed.
1 O.R. killed and 1 O.R. wounded.

Coy relieved A on the right and C Coy relieved B Coy on the Left. Patrolling
at night as usual.

Battalion in Front Line. About 6 pm a prisoner was captured about
R. 27 b. 5.1 by L/Cl Rogers No 26388 of C Coy. The prisoner was a signaller
- L/Corpl - who had mistaken ou line for his own. On night 29/30 July
the Battalion was relieved by the 18th Welsh and on completion of relief
moved back into Brigade Reserve, takin over billets from the 12th S.W.B.
