The battalion relieved the 19th Bn. R. W. F in the right
subsection CALONNE. Relief completed 6:30 p.m.. Naval Division
on our right & 18th Bn. Welsh Rgt. on left.
'C' Coy held line from Boyau 200 to junction of M 20.
2 and M. 20. 3., 'A' Coy thence to junction of M.20. 3 and M. 20.
4., 'B' Coy thence to Pit prop Corner. 'D' Coy in support in
CALONNE.

Considerable enemy and artillery and trench mortar
fire on B Coys front and support line during early hours of morning

Our artillery retaliated and did considerable damage to enemys
front line in CITE DES CORNAILLES, with the result that enemy trench
mortars ceased firing about 3:40 a.m.

Considerable Trench Mortar, rifle grenade and M - Gun activity on
our side with a view to preventing rescue work by enemy.
Orders received from 119th Inf. Bde to make careful reconnaissance
of enemy's wire opposite our front with a view to organising a raid. Patrol
reports attacked.
Casualties - 3 O.R wounded.
