was directed on our front line and on MORGAN trench. Boyau 214 and MORGAN trench were badly damaged.
 Casualties Lt T. Wallace and 11 O.R. wounded. 

19th Bn. R. W. F. hold line on our right and 12th Bn. S. W. B. on our left. O.C. 17th Bn. Welsh Regt. In charge of CALONNE Defences.

CALONNE    31/7/16
A large number of winged grenades fell on our lines around about Boyau 214. All them bear July date. Our Snipers claim 3 hits about M.20.b.8.7 and M.20 b.9.5½

Capt. Sheppard, wounded 9/7/16, rejoined the Battalion.
