BLACKDOWN 7.10
7.30 9.10 Battalion detrained at SOUTHAMPTON DOCKS. Strength 35 Officers, including Chaplain, and other ranks 995 including 4 A.S.C. Drivers attached. The Commanding
Officer, Adjutant, eight other officers and 135 other ranks embarked on
SS CITY OF BENARES. Both ships left SOUTHAMPTON WATER during night 2/3 June 1916.
HAVRE 3/6/16 Capt C.T.YOUNG and Sec Lt G.R.JACKMAN attached to HQ 119th Inf. Bde.
'A' Coy and No 1 M - G Section entrained at HAVRE, Point 1, leaving at 10.5 also en route to LILLERS
'A' Coy and M - G Section no 1, arrived LILLERS at 3.10 and also proceeded to billets in St. HILAIRE. Billets were occupied by 6.30 |
