Battalion holding Line of Resistance of outpost position.  All available men engaged on new line of resistance, wiring & improving old German trenches and making strong points and L. G. emplacements. Our artillery was active about 3.15 p.m.

Enemy lightly shelled DRIENCOURT with shrapnel at 10. 45 a.m. Four enemy shrapnel shell burst high over AIZECOURT-LE-HAUT at 4.30 p.m. Two Germans were observed at J 6. c. 4. 4; a lookout post is suspected at this point.
