MAROC   7-10-16
LIVERPOOL STREET and BANK SAP again shelled with rum jars.

At 9:30 p.m. Patrol of 1 Officer & 4 O.R reconnoitred enemy wire at M.10.c.20.70.

At 10 p.m. 2 Officers & 2 O.R went across to enemys trenches and threw some Mills Bombs into his trenches.

Enemy retaliated later with 4 rifle grenades.

Casualties :- Nil

 

MAROC   8-10-16
At 12 noon our own artillery fired at the Snipers Post on the SOUTHERN CRASSIER with apparently good effect.

Usual Trench Mortar activity on both sides.

1 Officer & 2 O.R left Right Coy and reached M.9.D.60.10 and then returned.

At 1.30 a.m. Lt BADHAM of the Left Coy and 5 O.R left BANK SAP and patrolled crater s at front of CRASSIER. This party returned at 3.15 a.m. reporting craters empty & no hostile parties seen.

Orders received today for our relief tomorrow by the 13th Bn. Rifle Brigade.

"The right subsection, MAROC Section, will be handed over to the 111 th Inf Bde on the 9th inst". .

MAROC   9-10-16
The Battn. was relieved in the right Subsection MAROC by the 13th Bn. Rifle Brigade. Relief completed at 11:30 a.m..

The Battn. then moved into billets in D Area LES BREBIS.

Casualties :- Nil.

 

LES BREBIS   10-10-16

A draft of 25 O.R reported and were posted :- 12 to 'D' Coy: 7 to 'A' Coy: 6 to 'C' Coy

LES BREBIS   11-10-16
In Billets.

Orders received for tomorrows relief:-

"The 119th Brigade will take over the new LOOS Section from BANK SAP at M. 4.c. 5. 6. To BOYAU 40 at M. 6. 6. 4. 6. both inclusive on 11th & 12th October . . . ."

Major D. APPLEBY left to proceed to England for 2½ months course at Aldershot in the duties of a Commanding Officer.
