10 (a) The 12th S.W.B. and 18th Welsh will form up behind the 19th R.W.F. and 17th Welsh respectively, each on a four company frontage,in artillery snake formation,and at Zero plus 2 will move forward on to the ground vacated by the 19th R.W.F. and 17th Welsh.
  (b) At zero plus 12 they will advance passing through the 19th R.W.F. and 17th Welsh in B-B and C-C and catching up to the barrage at Zero plus 33. Extended formation will be adopted as soon as the situation demands it.
  (c) Immediately the objective D-D is reached protective and reconnaissance patrols will be pushed out 250 yards behind the barrage.
11   Red flares will be lighted by the most advanced troops when called upon by contact aeroplane.
12 The Battalion will carry (imaginary) grenades (2 per man) Sandbags(2 per man)Flares(2 per man).
13 Dress: Fighting Order filled water bottles and Iron Rations Every man will be in possession of 120 rounds S.S.A Picks and shovels for consolidation will be carried by the rear wave of each company.

The Quartermaster will arrange to allot 20 picks and 25 shovels to each company and the necessary number of tools for the rear platoon will be drawn tomorrow, October, 23rd. 1917 before 8.30 and under Company arrangements
14 Watches will be synchronised at 9.45 a.m. to-morrow the 23rd. inst.
  (a) The 119th Machine Gun Company will first be employed on the barrage and indirect fire. Later, one section will be employed in Brigade Reserve in the Line A-A. The remaining three section, under orders from Brigade Headquarters will be sent forward (as soon as the objective have been taken) to support the infantry in positions immediately behind the Line held.
  (b) OCs.Companies will detail a carrying party for the 119th.
 
Machine Company as under:-
    "A"  6 O.R. "B"  6 O.R.
    "C"  6 O.R.  "D"  7 O.R
    Further orders as to place of reporting will be detailed later.
15 (a) The 119th. T.M. Battery will assist the first assault
with barrage fire from zero to plus 2.
  (b) At plus 2 4 Trench Mortars will remain the line A-A
and four Trench Mortars will be moved forward in the German Front lineB-B, one of each to be at the disposal of each Battalion Commander.
  O.Cs. Companies will detail a carrying party for the 119th. T.M. Battery as under:-
  "A"  Company  6 O.R. "B"  Company  5 O.R.
  "C"     "     6 O.R. "D"  Company  5 O.R.
16 The Strong points will be constructed about 200 yards in
rear of the Final objective under the direction of O.C.
