Battalion in Front Line. Patrolling at night as usual

On night 2/3October the Battalion was relieved by the 18th Welsh and on completion of relief moved into the reserve billets vacated by the 18th Welsh. The disposition of the companies was as follows:

"A" Coy  &  B.H.Q in the GOUZEAUCOURT - TRESCAULT RD.
 B & C companies at QUENTIN MILL.  D. Coy in Sunken Rd. in Q. 29d

On the night 7/8th the Battalion was relieved by the 11th K.R.R. (20th Division) & moved into huts in SORREL - LE - GRAND

The Battalion left SORREL - LE - GRAND & proceeded by motorbus to DOINGT, near PERONNE

119th Inf Bde paraded at PERONNE for inspection by corps commander (General Pulteney) [Spelling ? - GGD] who presented decorations.

21 decorations were presented to officers and men of this Battalion.
